Aveda

So...apparently growing up doesn't mean that your hormones don't target your face.....and they have targeted mine big time.
From trawling through the masses of blogs that I follow, I have come to the conclusion that foaming face washes are not the best and that exfoliators which scratch your face to shreds are baaaaad (the stinging from some was an instant indicator that this wasn't for me)  All this in mind I have decided to have a go with the Aveda  Botanical Kinetics range for combination/oily skin.

I have got myself the starter kit in this range which come with the purifying gel cleanser, toning mist, exfoliant (liquid form which contains an mild acid rather than scratch your face of grains) and a hydrating lotion. I purchased this for two reasons, 1. You can never be sure that what you are buying is going to be right for your skin and love that Aveda so this starter kit so that you don't have to spend mega dollar just to find out this your break out! And 2. I am going away on a Trek America adventure which means that little bottles of face products leaves more room for clothes...always a bonus!

So far so good.....my breakouts are less...and the ones that had occurred are lessening and my face is feeling amazing! I have only been using this for a couple weeks but I would defo recommend this. They also do the range for combination/dry skin types.

Everybody get up, singing......

Ooh the 90's and all the awesomeness that it brought.....and a couple weeks ago I got to relive part of my growing up experience by going to see Liberty X, Blue and 5ive perform like at Newmarket Race Course!

Of course the weather was pants....where was the sun that we have now when we needed it.....but we weren't going to let that dampen out spirits......knowing all the words and dance moves helped to warm us up :)

This is the outfit I choose....with the weather in mind...

Tatty Devine

I love a surprise package.....

....and this one came in the form of a Tatty Devine lucky dip box.

I read about these lucky dip boxes from Tatty Devine on Lilly's blog last week and was immediately intrigued and had to get one. They were only doing it....from what I can see....for one weekend, so it's no longer available (gutted I didn't get more)

It was £15 for a small box and £30 for a larger box. Unfortunately I had my car tax to pay at the beginning of the month so it was just the small £15 box for....but I wasn't disappointed.

So....in my box came the bow ring, the queen necklace and some earring (not quite sure what they are mean to be). The earrings aren't really mu bag.....but all is not lost as they will go straight into my present box. The ring and the necklace I LOVE....however a friend did point out to me that I could some damage with the ring.....all I say is don't get on the wrong side of me :)

Take a look at their other stuff....its amaze balls :)

OOTD#7

Haven't done one of these in a while....

....so thought it was about time!

Summer is coming....or at least that is what the bank holiday weekend led me to believe, and now I am sitting listening to the wind outside the window....hmmm, wishful thinking?

I love a bit of colour and often like to inject my outfit with a 'pop' whether that be via clothing or makeup (normally a bright lippy).

I wasn't sure about this jacket at first, mainly due to thinking the because of my broad shoulders it looks like I have brought a size too small, but I may give it another chance just to see (I did feature this in OOTD#4)

What do you reckon??
